Job Overview:
As a Claims Consultant, you will play a pivotal role in assessing, preparing, and managing claims on behalf of our clients. You will work closely with project teams, contractors, and commercial professionals to resolve disputes related to time delays, cost overruns, and contractual matters. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented professional with experience in claims management, dispute resolution, and contract administration in the construction or infrastructure sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
• Evaluate and prepare claims related to project delays, variations, extensions of time (EOT), and disruptions.
• Analyse project contracts, agreements, and other legal documents to assess liability and entitlement.
• Compile detailed reports and documentation to support claims and advise clients on the best course of action.
• Provide strategic advice on dispute resolution and negotiate settlements between parties.
• Assist clients with contract administration and offer guidance on risk management to prevent future claims.
• Represent clients in arbitration, mediation, and other dispute resolution forums.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, legal advisors, and other stakeholders to gather relevant data for claims assessment.
Key Requirements:
• Proven experience as a claims consultant, contract administrator, or similar role within the construction or infrastructure sector.
• Strong knowledge of claims management, dispute resolution, and contractual law.
• Excellent analytical and negotiation skills with attention to detail.
• Strong communication and report-writing skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple claims simultaneously.
• Relevant qualifications in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
