Contracts Administrator
Location: Brisbane
Position Overview: We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Contracts Administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in heavy civils projects and possess strong organizational and commercial skills.
Responsibilities:
- Review, draft, and negotiate contracts, subcontracts, and other legal documents related to heavy civils projects.
- Ensure compliance with contractual obligations, terms, and conditions, and mitigate risks associated with contract disputes or non-compliance.
- Liaise with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers to clarify contract terms, resolve issues, and ensure contract requirements are met.
- Administer contract changes, variations, and claims, including assessing impacts on project scope, schedule, and budget.
- Maintain accurate records of contract documents, correspondence, and communications, and ensure documentation is properly filed and archived.
- Monitor contract performance, including tracking project milestones, deliverables, and payments, and provide regular updates to project teams and stakeholders.
- Assist in the resolution of disputes or claims arising from contracts, and participate in negotiations or mediation processes as required.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Contracts Administrator in heavy civils projects, with a strong understanding of contract management principles and practices.
- Excellent understanding of construction contracts.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to analyze complex contractual issues and provide practical solutions.
- Proficiency in contract management software and Microsoft Office suite.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
