Job Overview:
As an Environmental Advisor, you will ensure that all projects comply with environmental regulations and contribute to sustainable development. You will work closely with engineers, project managers, and external stakeholders to assess environmental risks and develop strategies to mitigate impacts on the environment while delivering high-quality infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure civil engineering projects comply with environmental legislation, standards, and company sustainability goals.
  • Conduct Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA) and develop Environmental Management Plans (EMP) for infrastructure projects, including roads, bridges, tunnels, and water systems.
  • Provide expert advice on minimizing environmental impacts, including air and water pollution, waste management, and habitat conservation.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate sustainable design solutions into projects, such as low-carbon construction techniques and renewable energy use.
  • Assist in obtaining environmental permits and liaising with local authorities and regulatory bodies.
  • Prepare environmental documentation and reports for regulatory submissions, including environmental assessments, monitoring results, and sustainability performance.
  • Stay updated on evolving environmental regulations, industry trends, and sustainable innovations relevant to civil engineering.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in an environmental advisory role within civil engineering or construction.
  • In-depth knowledge of environmental legislation and regulations specific to infrastructure and civil projects.
  • Strong understanding of sustainable civil engineering practices, including water conservation, low-carbon construction, and ecological preservation.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence engineers, project managers, and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
