Our client in Sydney, Australia is looking for an Environmental Consultant to join their Environment & Infrastructure Team. This role is ideally for Sydney but they also have an office in Brisbane so you could be based there. Your primary role will be supporting the environmental compliance of infrastructure schemes including land remediation. Our client is a multi-disciplinary consultancy and they specialise in all areas of the built and natural environment, shaping the future of our environmental, social and economic landscapes.

Your role:

This is a key position where you will facilitate the integration of environmental aspects into project delivery, across design, assessment and construction. 

  • Coordinating environmental project teams working on infrastructure schemes
  • Advising client of environmental risks during pre-consenting, design and construction of projects
  • Scheduling of priority activities and deliverables and coordinating environmental site teams
  • Coordinate relevant technical meetings with planning, design and environment teams, stakeholders and client teams
  • Produce high quality documents for submission to determining authority
  • Communicate consent requirements to site teams/client/technical teams
  • Audit of consent conditions and compliance
  • Ensuring RPS' and client's QA, doc control and H&S procedures are adhered to
  • Scope and change management



Your skills and experience

  • You'll have a relevant degree (or equivalent) or MSc in environment
  • Be conversant in project planning and delivery of environmental aspects to satisfy planning requirements or conditions
  • Experienced in design and build stage of projects either as part of a contractor's design team or working on behalf of the client
  • Experience delivering multi-disciplinary activities across (but not limited to) - water, biodiversity, cultural heritage and contaminated land remediation.
  • Experience with environmental impact assessments
  • Confident communicator to work with a range of clients, stakeholders and project teams Career expertise in multiple sectors desirable
