Our client is seeking an experienced Project Engineer to join their Infrastructure Delivery team based in Wellington.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage project performance, including subcontractor coordination, to ensure delivery meets quality standards and timelines.
- Oversee project documentation such as contracts, claims, bonds, and supplier agreements.
- Drive financial efficiency by managing costs, investigating discrepancies, and optimising resource allocation.
- Develop construction methodologies, budgets, and project programmes.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Support, coach, and mentor junior engineers and team members to enhance technical capability.
- Promote a Zero Harm culture, ensuring safety, environmental, and quality standards are upheld at all times.
Skills
- 4+ years of experience as a Site Engineer or higher, ideally within infrastructure or construction projects.
- Relevant tertiary qualification in engineering (preferred).
- Strong understanding of project management, construction methodologies, and scheduling.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
- Effective communication and leadership skills, with experience managing subcontractors and teams.
