Project Engineer - Piling
Location: Melbourne
Position Overview: We are currently seeking a skilled Project Engineer with specialized experience in piling or ground engineering within the civil engineering field. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting and contributing to the success of piling projects, ensuring technical precision and effective project delivery. Ideally you would have previously worked for a piling contractor.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the project team to assist in the planning, execution, and completion of piling projects, ensuring alignment with project goals and specifications.
- Apply knowledge of various piling methods, foundation design principles, and testing techniques to support the technical aspects of projects.
- Work closely with project managers, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure efficient project execution.
- Contribute to the development and review of project plans, specifications, and drawings.
- Conduct site inspections, quality control checks, and ensure compliance with engineering standards and safety regulations.
- Communicate effectively with project stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and internal team members.
- Assist in the mentoring and development of junior engineering staff.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Project Engineer with a focus on piling projects.
- Knowledge of various piling methods, foundation design, and testing techniques.
- Familiarity with construction regulations, permitting processes, and compliance standards.
- Strong project management skills and proficiency in project management software.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to adapt to evolving project scopes and timelines.
