We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Engineer with experience in either roads, structures, piling, or utilities to work for our client in Auckland. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in overseeing and managing technical aspects of projects within their respective specialization, ensuring successful project execution and client satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
- Lead project teams in the planning, execution, and completion of projects related to roads, structures, piling, or utilities.
- Apply specialised knowledge in the chosen field to provide technical expertise and guidance throughout all project phases.
- Develop and review project plans, specifications, and engineering drawings, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Coordinate with project managers, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure efficient project delivery and adherence to project timelines and budgets.
- Conduct regular site inspections, quality control checks, and safety audits to ensure compliance with engineering standards and safety regulations.
- Act as a primary point of contact for project stakeholders, providing regular updates and addressing any technical concerns or issues.
- Mentor and support junior engineering staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Senior Project Engineer with expertise in roads, structures, piling, or utilities projects.
- Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering
- In-depth knowledge of the chosen specialization and related engineering principles, practices, and regulations.
- Strong project management skills, including the ability to develop and manage project plans, budgets, and schedules.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in project management software and other relevant engineering tools.
- Ability to adapt to changing project scopes and priorities, and to work effectively in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
