Carmichael are currently seeking a Senior Project Manager for our client, a mid tier civil engineering company in Louisiana. The Senior Project Manager is responsible for leading and managing Heavy Civil construction projects from start to finish across the South Louisiana area. This role involves planning, budgeting, scheduling, and tracking projects, while ensuring effective communication with all stakeholders. The Sr PM must have progressively advanced project management experience and strong leadership skills to inspire the project team.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading the estimating process for accurate and consistent project bids.
- Coordinating with estimators, owners, and construction supervisors to meet project schedules.
- Participating in bid reviews and ensuring project feasibility.
- Facilitating effective communication among project engineers, foremen, superintendents, and construction managers.
- Ensuring proper job controls, including cost, revenue, and scheduling.
- Building and maintaining relationships with clients and stakeholders to foster long-term partnerships.
- Ensuring accurate construction reporting for performance improvement.
- Adhering to corporate safety standards to maintain a safe work environment.
A Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field, along with a minimum of 5 years of experience, is required.
