We are currently seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior Project Manager to lead and oversee multiple projects in the Christchurch region.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Leadership and Oversight:
- Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of complex civil engineering projects.
- Develop detailed project plans, including scope, schedule, and budget management.
- Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
- Strategic Management:
- Provide strategic direction and guidance to project teams, ensuring alignment with company goals and client expectations.
- Oversee the entire project lifecycle, from initiation to closure, ensuring seamless integration of all project components.
- Client Relationship Management:
- Act as the primary liaison for key clients, maintaining strong, positive relationships.
- Provide regular project updates and reports to clients, addressing any concerns promptly.
- Ensure client satisfaction by consistently meeting or exceeding their requirements and expectations.
- Risk and Quality Management:
- Identify and assess project risks, developing and implementing mitigation strategies.
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations and industry standards.
- Implement and oversee rigorous quality control measures, ensuring all deliverables meet technical specifications and client requirements.
- Financial Management:
- Manage project budgets, ensuring financial performance aligns with forecasts.
- Prepare and present financial reports and forecasts to senior management.
- Approve project expenditures and manage cost control processes, optimizing resource allocation.
- Team Development and Mentorship:
- Lead, mentor, and develop project team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment.
- Conduct regular team meetings to monitor progress, address issues, and ensure alignment with project goals.
- Stakeholder Engagement:
- Coordinate and manage interactions with stakeholders, including engineers, architects, contractors, and regulatory bodies.
- Ensure effective communication and collaboration among all project participants.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
- Minimum of 10 years post-graduate experience in the civil engineering industry.
- In-depth knowledge of project management methodologies and tools.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in project management software and MS Office Suite.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage tight deadlines effectively.
