Senior Project Manager - Piling
Location: Melbourne
Position Overview: We are seeking an accomplished Senior Project Manager with specialized expertise in piling within the civil engineering sector. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in leading and overseeing piling projects, ensuring they are executed with precision, efficiency, and excellence. Ideally you would have previously worked for a piling contractor.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the planning, execution, and completion of piling projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and meeting quality standards.
- Utilize extensive experience in piling techniques, foundation design, and testing to drive project success.
- Negotiate contracts, manage subcontractors, and liaise with suppliers to ensure optimal project outcomes.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resource plans.
- Implement and enforce safety protocols, ensuring a secure working environment for all team members.
- Foster effective communication among project stakeholders, including clients, engineers, architects, and subcontractors.
- Resolve project-related challenges promptly and efficiently to maintain project momentum.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Proven track record as a Senior Project Manager with significant experience in piling projects.
- Expertise in various piling methods, foundation design principles, and testing techniques.
- Strong understanding of construction regulations, permitting processes, and compliance standards.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office suite.
- Ability to adapt to evolving project scopes and timelines.
