We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Site Engineer with civil engineering experience to join our client in Auckland. In this role, you will be responsible for the management and execution of civil infrastructure projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of safety and quality. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of major civil projects in the region, working with a collaborative team of professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage daily site operations, including the planning and coordination of civil works such as earthworks, drainage, roadworks, and utilities installation.
  • Monitor project progress to ensure it aligns with the project schedule and budget, addressing any delays or issues that arise.
  • Perform site inspections and quality control to ensure that all construction activities adhere to engineering specifications, standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Assist with the preparation of project plans, technical reports, and other project documentation.
  • Collaborate with contractors, consultants, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project delivery.
  • Conduct site surveys, interpret engineering drawings, and provide technical support to construction teams.
  • Ensure strict compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations, conducting site audits and promoting a culture of safety.
  • Manage material and resource procurement, including the ordering of equipment and supplies.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues on-site as they arise, ensuring minimal disruption to the project timeline.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or similar in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • 2-5 years of experience in civil construction projects, with a strong understanding of earthworks, drainage, roadworks, and general civil infrastructure.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting civil engineering plans and specifications.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to liaise effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
