Associate – Tailings

Role Overview:
As an Associate, you will play a key leadership role in managing and delivering projects related to tailings storage facilities. You will collaborate with clients and multidisciplinary teams to develop innovative, sustainable, and compliant tailings solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage tailings projects from conception to completion, ensuring technical, safety, and environmental standards are met.
  • Develop detailed designs, plans, and specifications for tailings storage facilities and associated infrastructure.
  • Provide expert technical guidance on tailings management, risk assessment, and monitoring practices.
  • Conduct site visits and inspections to oversee construction and operational activities.
  • Collaborate with clients, contractors, and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance with applicable regulations and best practices.
  • Mentor and guide junior engineers and team members, fostering professional growth and development.
  • Prepare detailed reports, technical proposals, and cost estimates for clients and stakeholders.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes in tailings management.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • A degree in Civil, Geotechnical, or Mining Engineering, or a related field.
  • Extensive experience in tailings design, construction, and management.
  • Strong knowledge of industry standards, regulations, and risk management practices in tailings management (e.g., ICMM standards, GISTM).
  • Proficiency in engineering software such as GeoStudio, AutoCAD, or similar tools.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage multidisciplinary teams and complex projects.
  • Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
